Highs Winds, Heavy Rain – Friday

A cold front will plow eastward through the Northeast and New England during the day on Friday, preceded by a round of rain and strong winds. The worst of the weather will come during the midday and afternoon hours as passing downpours coincide with southerly winds gusting 40 to 60 mph. A flash of lightning and rumble of thunder is possible as well. Expect some pockets of tree and limb damage and some resultant short-lived power outages around the area.
