Showers and a few localized downpours cut through the area on Sunday and Sunday evening, marking the arrival and passage of a surface cold front. That frontal zone is now offshore to our east and behind it a cool but dry air mass is building into the region for the start of the work week. Expect a good amount of sunshine on Monday with an active westerly breeze and temperatures in the 40s and lower 50s (not far from average for the date) for afternoon highs. It’ll feel a bit chilly when the wind is blowing but the strong early April sun will help out.
