Showers Thursday into Friday

Low pressure spinning across the Northeast will bring a couple of rounds of wet weather to the area over the next 24 hours. While the heaviest of the system’s rain is likely across central and northern portions of New England – where 1 to 3 inches of rainfall looks possible – we should get a decent drink of water as a band of downpours swings through the area later today and into the first part of tonight. There could be a flash of lightning and rumble of thunder during the evening as well. Monitor the progress of the rain on the local radar. The latest ecmwf model forecast shows about 1/2 to 1 inch of rain around our area.
