Clearing Out, Drying Out

A cold front is sliding offshore first thing Monday morning and winds are in the process of shifting around from the south to the west. That westerly wind will push cooler and drier air into the area and help clear things out over the course of the morning hours – with skies turning partly to mostly sunny by mid to late morning. Temperatures near 70F this morning will climb to 75 to 80F…but humidity levels will drop through the day so things should feel increasingly more comfortable as time goes on. The only caveat to the forecast: model guidance does show a hint of thicker moisture aloft late this afternoon and into this evening, potentially indicative of some cloud cover…so we may see an increase in clouds for a time during the evening hours. Visible satellite imagery first thing Monday morning shows thicker clouds exiting the region with clearing skies moving in from the west.
