A big ridge of high pressure is setting up over the eastern half of the nation and will anchor in place for much of the upcoming week. The result will be an extended period of sunshine and mild afternoon temperatures. Although the early mornings may feel a bit cool, we should see afternoon temperatures in the 70s for a good chunk of the work week.
Our next shot for precipitation won’t arrive until – of course – Saturday.
Until then, enjoy the late season sunshine (filtered at times by Canadian wildfire smoke) and warm temperatures.
