The bad news: Wednesday, as expected, has started out quite stormy with strong southeast winds and areas of wind-whipped drizzle and rain. Wind gusts have exceeded 50 mph in many spots and some exposed coastal locations – like spots right at the beach – have gusted over 60 mph. The result has been some localized tree and limb damage and a few scattered power outages.
The good news: The storm system responsible for the ugly weather is moving right along and the weather will improve this afternoon. Strong southeast winds will shift to a west and northwesterly direction during the afternoon hours and rain will taper off. We may even see some afternoon holes in the overcast.
Happy Thanksgiving!
