Partly Sunny, Mild

Saturday is shaping up to be another nice early June day around the Cape – though not quite as amazing as Friday. Temperatures will climb to the 70s across the area…perhaps pushing 80F on parts of the Upper Cape…under partly sunny skies (think intervals of hazy / filtered sunshine, pockets of blue sky, areas of passing clouds). Fairly light winds this morning will transition into an active southwesterly breeze over the course of the day. That southwest wind will tend to knock temperatures backwards a few degrees over the afternoon hours, particularly along the south side of the Cape / RT 28 region / from Chatham to Woods Hole. A frontal zone is working its way into New England this weekend and will set off some showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday, with our best shot at meaningful precipitation here on the Cape coming Sunday evening.
