A quick-moving, but loud, thunderstorm moved across the Cape between midnight and 1AM. The line of storms intensified as it moved across the area, bringing some short-lived downpours to the Mid and Outer Cape. Rainfall totals reported into the CoCoRaHS Network of observers show generally less than .20 inches of rain around the area. However, a closer inspection of the data shows the heavier totals from the Mid-Cape region eastward – aligning nicely with the strengthening of the storms as they crossed eastward over the Cape.
