After a week of virtually no sunshine, and plenty of rain to go along with the murk, we’re getting a decent break from the gloomy weather this week. Sunshine returned to the area yesterday and will dominate the skies again today. Unfortunately, similar to Monday, a strong gusty wind will make it feel cool at times. Overall, sunshine will win out tomorrow and again on Thursday (a few episodes of cloud cover but nothing like last week) with temperatures rebounding to 50F or better during the day.
Our next shot at meaningful wet weather looks to come in Thursday night or Friday. You can see from the map above – a plot of weather alerts from the National Weather Service – that much of the country east of the Rockies is getting a decent break from stormy weather.
