A bit gray, a bit cool

High pressure is locked in place to our east, feeding dry air into the region and also slowing down the usual eastward progression of weather systems. A storm and its associated frontal zones over the nation’s midsection is struggling to make progress eastward this week and is gradually shearing apart as it approaches our area. Consequently, we are dealing with a lot of cloud cover today but not much in the way of wet weather. Not that we need the rain. The downside to the set up is the clockwise flow of air around offshore high pressure to is feeding in a chilly easterly wind, which will result in a rather cool day today…with temperatures not moving a whole.
