Quiet Weather

For the first time in a long time we are in the midst of a lengthy stretch of quiet weather. High pressure is in control today and will lead to another sunny and mild day. After climbing to the middle and upper 60s yesterday (it was great), we can expect daytime readings in the lower and middle 60s today.

High pressure will then slip north and east of our area but lock in place for the remainder of the week. This will turn winds to a more onshore direction but keep dry air feeding into the region. At the same time, storminess over the central part of the nation will be slow to move eastward and its moisture will ultimately be blocked from reaching our area through the work week. So while temperatures will trend downward over the second half of the week (thanks to the cooler onshore wind), moisture looks limited through Friday.
