Cool, Onshore Flow

The combination of high pressure to our northeast and weak low pressure meandering to the east of the Mid-Atlantic will produce a light easterly flow of air over the next 24 to 48 hours. While no meaningful precipitation is expected, that onshore flow will gradually introduce moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere and likely result in increasing amounts of low cloudiness tonight and Friday – with overcast conditions potentially lingering into the start of the weekend. The more noticeable impact will be generally steady temperatures in the upper 30s to middle 40s Thursday “day” straight through to Friday night as winds blow in off the chilly ocean waters..
