A milder air mass is building into New England today and will remain in place through the day on Tuesday – giving us a nice taste of early Spring over the next 36 hours (chillier air will return on Wednesday). Expect our early Monday morning cloud cover to shift eastward and offshore and for sunshine to break out around the area during the mid-morning hours. Clear skies should then dominate for the remainder of the day. The milder air mass, developing sunshine and an active westerly wind will work together to boost temperatures up into the 50s this afternoon, a solid 5 to 10F above average for early / mid March.
