Turning Muggy

A frontal zone approaching the region from the west will swing our winds around to the south and southwest over the course of the next 24 hours. That southwest flow of air will yank a surge of muggy air northward into the region for a couple day visit. Dewpoint values in the 60s today will approach 70F later this afternoon and tonight and remain at that level through the day on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. You can see on the surface analysis this morning, the higher dewpoint air off to south, ready to lift northward on southerly winds.
