Temperatures on Tuesday reached into the 90s across much of the Cape…with Heat Index values passing 100F thanks to the humid air. The highest official temperature was 94F in Provincetown. Off-Cape locations soared to the middle and upper 90s, with Boston recording a record high of 99F.
Wednesday is shaping up to be another steamy day around the region with temperatures climbing well into the 80s and likely nearing or passing 90F in a few spots here on the Cape (a couple/few degrees cooler than yesterday – especially on the Outer Cape where a light wind off the water will develop).
A frontal zone will dip into the area on Thursday, cutting off the heat and yielding cloud cover and some wet weather around the region.
