A surge of much warmer and more humid air is lifting northeastward into New England and is producing some showers and isolated thunderstorms across the Northeast today. This activity will slide eastward through Sunday, shifting offshore tonight. Keep an eye to the radar through the day as a passing shower or two could cross over the area at just about anytime from late morning through the afternoon. While it certainly won’t be raining all day, it’s not exactly a beach day – cloud cover will be tough to shake and it will feel a bit cool with the gray skies.
