More Cold. More Snow?

A surge of even colder air is going to push into the area later today and tonight, yielding another frigid day on Friday with daytime temperatures once again stuck in the 10s. Saturday isn’t looking a whole lot better as readings likely struggle to get back to 20F.

In addition to the ongoing cold, we have another snow storm to track. A very strong low pressure center is going to take shape off the Southeast US coast this weekend and wobble its way north and eastward on Sunday. The system is likely to evolve into a very intense ocean storm, producing powerful winds and heavy precipitation over a large area. While it’s still too early to say for certain, it appears the Cape will be right on the northwest edge of the storm center and will indeed get into it’s shield of snow and wind – the question is how far into that shield do we get?
