Snow will fall around the area Sunday into Sunday evening – heavily at times – before switching over to sleet and then some light rain and drizzle during the second half of Sunday night. A Cape Cod average of around 10 inches looks like a safe bet, with some spots getting a bit less and others a touch more – a lot of which will fall in a rather short window Sunday evening. That’s when the worst of the storm will be with intense snowfall rates making travel very difficult for a few hours…conditions will improve during the overnight hours as temperatures climb to the lower and middle 30s and the heaviest of the precipitation shifts to our east.
