Bitter Cold…Followed by a Snowstorm

Temperatures will climb into the 40s today under partial sunshine – enjoy it because it’s probably the last time we see 40F+ degrees for quite some time.

Arctic air will pour into the area Friday night and send temperatures tumbling to the single digits and teens by Saturday morning…with temperatures struggling to climb Saturday. Frigid air will hold over the region Saturday night.

Cold will linger on Sunday and eventually moisture will get added to the mix – meaning we are likely looking at a healthy snowstorm around the area Sunday afternoon into Monday. While the exact evolution of the storm remains in question, six inches of snow is looking highly likely and amounts could certainly surpass that. Stay tuned!
