Cold Start! Big Turnaround

Clear skies, light winds and dry air allowed temperatures to plummet overnight – particularly by early June standards – as readings fell into the 30s and 40s around the Cape. Hyannis bottomed out at 36F(!) while the airport out on Martha’s Vineyard made it down to 30F! Thankfully, this time of year, the chilly air mixes out very quickly and temperatures have already recovered to around 50F and will continue to quickly jump through the morning. By midday and early afternoon, readings will be in the 60s to around 70F. Even warmer weather is expected over the next few days.
