A couple of weather systems will impact the area over the next few days, bringing multiple rounds of wet weather – but things should time out such that most of the weekend daylight hours are precipitation free. The first wave of moisture will slide through the area tonight, bringing a period of rain from the late evening hours until right around dawn. Total rainfall on the order of 1/4 to 1/2 inch is anticipated (GFS model data provided here as an illustration). Things will dry out on Saturday and fair weather will hold into Sunday before our next weather system arrives late Sunday.
