Early Sunset

Welp…it’s that time of year. The sunset today is just after 4:30…and so begins a long stretch of 4PM sunsets. In fact, we won’t see a 5PM sunset again until the first week of February (sad face). Today’s sunset is around 4:34…by month’s end that time rolls all the way down to 4:11PM – which marks about a 2 week stretch of the earliest sunsets of the year. The upside (for the time being) is more light earlier in the day, as the sunrise has fallen back to 6:14am. Unfortunately, we are losing light quickly this time of year as we gradually approach the winter solstice…so the sunrise is 1 to 2 minutes later each morning well into December.
