Southwest winds have resumed around the area (signaling the arrival of a warmer air mass for the remainder of the week) and will continue for the next few days. Those southwest winds will turn rather gusty over the course of Tuesday, in typical summer-time Cape Cod fashion. Expect gusts of 25 to 35 mph from late morning through the afternoon hours. Not only will that wind be a bit annoying at times, but it will tend to hold temperatures closer to 70F from Chatham over to Hyannisport and Woods Hole…with milder temperatures on the north side of the Cape. That National Weather Service has hoisted a Small Craft Advisory – recreational boaters are advised to use caution with the strong gusty wind.
