Satellite imagery across the Northeast Monday morning shows plenty of cloud-free skies and that’s pretty much the theme for Monday’s forecast. Quiet and mild. Comfortable readings in the 60s early on will jump into the 70s by mid-morning and readings will top out in the 70s and lower 80s around the Cape. A light north and northeast breeze will persist through the day, which may keep some spots on the Outer Cape a touch cooler…especially right along the ocean’s edge on the east side of the Cape from P-town down to Chatham. One thing of note on visible satellite imagery – if you look carefully you can make out a milky, wavy haze across a lot of the region. That’s some wildfire smoke embedded in the jet stream winds and it may add a bit of a filtered appearance to the sun and sky at times today.
