Windy, Muggy, Showers

A cold front is working its way eastward across New England today, bringing another round of unsettled weather to the region. Morning radar and satellite analysis showed plenty of showers and thunderstorms up and down the East Coast, with the most concentrated activity here in the Northeast. Locally, Monday has started out partly sunny, warm, windy and humid. Shower and thunderstorm activity is sitting off to our west for now and will remain at bay through a good chunk of the morning hours. Eventually clouds will win out and passing showers, downpours and maybe a rumble of thunder will overspread the area for the middle and second half of the day. While clouds and wet weather will move in, the most notable weather detail will likely be the wind. Strong gusty southerly winds will persist throughout the day, gusting 30 to 40mph at times.
